Getting started
Create your account and workspace, find your way around the app and choose its language.
Create your account
You need an Invoice 14 account to save customers and issue invoices. Every account starts on the free plan, and you don’t need a credit card to sign up.
- Go to invoice14.com and click Get started.
- Enter your email address, or sign up with one of the other options shown on the form.
- Confirm your email address with the code we send you.
- You land on the welcome page, where you create your workspace (see the next section).

Already have an account? Use Log in at the top of invoice14.com instead. Signing up again with a different email gives you a second, empty account.
Create your workspace
Your workspace holds everything you do in Invoice 14: your business details, customers, products, invoices and quotes. Your plan also belongs to the workspace. When you sign in for the first time, you see Welcome — create your workspace.
- Click Create my workspace.
- Invoice 14 opens your new, empty dashboard. You can fill in your business details right away or come back to them later.

The workspace starts with sensible defaults for a Spanish autónomo: country Spain, currency EUR, 21 % IVA, 15 % IRPF withholding, and an invoice series named after the current year (your first invoice is 2026-0001, for example). You can change all of this in Settings.
Already part of a team? If your company already uses Invoice 14, don’t create a second workspace. Ask the person who runs it to invite you (see Team members). Once they have, the welcome page shows You have been invited to join with an Accept button, and accepting takes you straight into the shared workspace.
Find your way around
Every page in the app shares the same bar along the top.

- The Invoice 14 logo takes you back to the dashboard (see The dashboard).
- Invoices, Quotes, Customers, Products and Reports are the main parts of the app. Pages your plan doesn’t include stay in the bar. They open greyed out with an upgrade prompt (see Plans and billing).
- The question mark (Help) opens the help article for the page you are on, in a new tab, so an unsaved draft stays open in the app. On pages without their own article it opens this help centre.
- The cog (Settings) opens your business profile, tax settings, VERI*FACTU, email sending, invoice design, members, billing and your data.
- Your avatar opens your account menu: manage your login details (name, email, password) or sign out.
If you belong to more than one workspace, for example your own and a client’s team, a workspace switcher appears next to your avatar. On a phone or a narrow window, the section links, Settings and Help move into the Menu button on the right.
Set up in five steps
Most people are ready to send their first invoice in about ten minutes:
- Fill in your business details: legal name, tax ID, address and bank details. Invoice 14 won’t issue invoices until the required details are there. See Your business profile.
- Check your VAT and IRPF defaults and your currency. See Tax settings.
- Add your first customer. See Customers.
- Optionally, add the services or products you sell so invoice lines fill themselves in. See Products and services.
- Create, issue and send your first invoice. See Create and issue an invoice and Send an invoice by email.
Invoicing in Spain? From 2027, VERI*FACTU requires invoicing software to send each invoice record to the AEAT. On a paid plan you can switch it on in Settings. See Set up VERI*FACTU.
Change the app language
The app is available in English, Spanish, German, Italian and French. The language is set for the whole workspace, so changing it changes it for everyone who works in the workspace.
- Click the cog to open Settings. You land on General.
- Under Language, choose a language in App language.
- Click Save settings. The app switches language straight away.

The app language does not decide the language of your invoices. Each customer has their own Invoice language, and their PDFs and emails use it. So you can work in English and still send Spanish invoices to Spanish customers. See Customers.
Only the workspace owner can change settings. If you were invited as a member, ask the owner (see Team members).
