Invoice design
Add your logo, choose colours and a font, and preview your PDF as you go.
Open the design settings
Go to Settings → Design. The left side holds your logo, colours and font; the right side shows a sample invoice drawn with your current choices, so you can see the result before you save.

- Who can change it: only the workspace owner. Members do not see the Design section at all.
- Which plan: branded invoices are part of the Plus and Ultimate plans. On the Free plan the page is greyed out with an upgrade prompt, and your PDFs use the standard Invoice 14 look.
- What it changes: the PDFs of your invoices, corrective invoices and quotes. The email you send with an invoice is not affected.
Add your logo
- In Logo, click Upload logo and choose the file.
- Wait for the upload to finish. The logo is saved straight away — there is no need to click Save for it.
- Choose a Logo position: Logo instead of the name prints only the logo at the top of the document, Logo above the name prints the logo with your trade name underneath in smaller type.
- Click Save settings to keep the layout choice.
The file must be a PNG or JPEG, no larger than 2 MB and no more than 4000 × 4000 pixels. SVG, WebP and PDF logos are not accepted — export a PNG from your design tool instead. A wide wordmark on a transparent background usually looks best, because the header is wider than it is tall.
If the upload is refused, the message tells you why:
- “The logo must be a PNG or JPEG image” — the file is another format, or only renamed to .png. Re-export it as PNG or JPEG.
- “The logo must be between 1 byte and 2 MB” — make the file smaller, for example by exporting at a lower resolution. Around 1000 pixels wide is plenty for print.
- “The logo must be at most 4000 pixels wide and tall” — scale the image down.
- “Too many uploads — try again in an hour” — you can upload up to 20 logos an hour.
To change the logo, click Replace logo. To go back to your trade name in text, click Remove.
Choose colours and a font
- Accent colour — the lines that divide the document, the document number and the total due.
- Text colour — the body text. The lighter greys for labels and lines are worked out from it automatically.
- Font family — one font for the whole document: JetBrains Mono (the default), Inter, Source Sans 3, Roboto, Open Sans, Space Grotesk, Lora or Merriweather.
Pick a colour with the colour picker, click one of the round swatches, or type a six-digit hex code such as #0f766e into the box next to it. Your brand guide usually lists these codes.
If a colour is too pale to read on white paper, a warning appears under it: This colour is hard to read on white paper. You can still save it, but your total and invoice number may be hard to read when printed — a darker shade of the same colour usually works.

Colours, font and logo position are only kept when you click Save settings. If you leave the page without saving, your changes are lost.
Check the preview
The Preview is a real PDF of a sample invoice, drawn with what you have on screen right now — unsaved changes included. It redraws itself a moment after each change. Scroll inside it to see the whole page.
If it says The preview could not be rendered., reload the page. If that keeps happening, the problem is on our side: save your settings and email us.
What happens to invoices you have already issued
Nothing. An issued invoice is a fixed record, so it keeps the design it was issued with — logo included — even if you change or remove your logo later. The same goes for quotes you have marked as sent. New settings apply to invoices you issue and quotes you mark as sent from now on.
If your plan drops to Free, your design stays saved but new documents use the standard look until you upgrade again.
Go back to the standard look
Click Reset to defaults under the save button. It puts the colours and the font back to the Invoice 14 defaults (cyan accent, near-black text, JetBrains Mono) and keeps your logo. Click Save settings to apply it.
