Download all your data

You can download everything in your workspace as a single file at any time, on every plan. Use it as a backup, to give your accountant the raw data, or to move to other software.

1. 1Click the cog in the top bar, then Your data.
2. 2Click Download all data (JSON).
3. 3Your browser saves a file called invoice14-export.json.

The file contains your business profile and settings, workspace members, customers and their discounts, products, invoice and quote series, every invoice and quote with its lines, payments and refunds, email deliveries, and your VERI*FACTU records.

The export is JSON, a structured format meant for software rather than for reading. It doesn’t include the PDFs. To keep copies of your invoices as documents, download each PDF from the invoice page (see Invoice PDFs). For a spreadsheet of your invoices, use the CSV download of the invoice ledger (see Sales and receivables reports).

Only the workspace owner can download the export, because it includes your bank details and full customer records. Members don’t see this section.

How long to keep your invoices

Spanish tax law requires you to keep issued invoices for at least four years, and commercial law can ask for longer. Other countries have their own rules, often longer still. Ask your gestor or accountant how long applies to you. Invoice 14 keeps your invoices for as long as your workspace exists, so download your data and PDFs before you delete it.

Delete your workspace

Deleting the workspace permanently erases everything in it for everyone: your business profile, customers, products, invoices, quotes, payments, VERI*FACTU records and your logo. It can’t be undone, and we can’t restore it for you.

1. 1Download your data first (see above), along with any invoice PDFs you need to keep.
2. 2If you have a paid plan, cancel it in Billing first (see Plans and billing).
3. 3Open Settings → Danger zone.
4. 4Type DELETE in capitals in Type DELETE to confirm.
5. 5Click Delete workspace permanently. You are signed out and taken to the Invoice 14 website.

Your login account is not deleted. If you sign in again, you can create a new, empty workspace. To close your login account as well, email hello@invoice14.com.

Only the workspace owner can delete it. Members who want to stop using a shared workspace should ask an owner to remove them instead (see Team members).

Privacy and your customers’ data

Your workspace is private to the people you invite. The data stays yours: download it whenever you like, and deleting the workspace erases it. Our privacy policy, linked at the bottom of every page on invoice14.com, explains how we process and protect it.
